RECIPE : The Beyond Burger Aragon Style

Pst. I’m going to let you in on a secret… Many years before I started this blog, I really wanted to start a food recipe blog. I spent the majority of my time experimenting in the kitchen, writing new recipes, entering baking contests, spending every extra penny I had on bakeware, etc. I didn’t end up starting a food blog for a few reasons, primarily stress. I was/am such a perfectionist that baking/cooking can get super un-fun. I had to chill out in the kitchen for a while to lower my stress (PAUSE. I hear some people actually find baking/cooking to be a stress reliever, I don’t get it, but if that’s you, props!). I still like to make food: I just tend to go for simpler recipes these days. And so today I’m sharing a creation my husband & I recently came up with that’s so easy a monkey could do it. I present to you; The Beyond Burger, Aragon Style 🙂

Hurricane Irma

Hey everyone! Sorry for being MIA. It’s been nine days since my last update (the longest I’ve ever gone), & that’s because the past week & a half revolved around hurricane Irma. Photos are a huge part of my blog. I never post a blog post without a good number of relevant photos. This post, however, is an exception. I do not feel comfortable going out & shooting OOTD photos right now. A lot of my “go-to” photo locations are damaged &/or uninhabitable at this time. And while I have other places I could take photos, I honestly don’t feel good about being in public, smiling for photos right now. I also think it’s disrespectful to go around looking at & taking photos of devastation, so I’m not doing that either. I have posted some recent-ish photos on my IG, so if you miss my face, see it there, haha. I hope to get back to “regular” blog posts next wk. For now, please read my photo-less post on Irma & it’s effect on me, my town, more.

That’s A Wrap – August 2017

That's A Wrap - August 2017

Usually when I’m writing my monthly wrap-up’s, I cannot believe how fast the month went by. Not this time! August actually went by super slow. I think that’s because at the beginning of the month I broke my left foot & pinky toe (my first broken bones ever). I was therefore unable to do much of anything considering it was hard just to walk from my front door to the car. I spent a lot of August being bored, a feeling I typically don’t even have the time to feel. Despite the physical pain & mental boredom, there were, of course, still some great moments & finds in the month of August. Allow me to share what those moments & finds were…
